I love the contrast in this piece: between the stained steps and the crisp clean sky, between the more nutral colors of the building and the more bold colors of the people and sky, etc. The angle, as almost everyone else has said really makes this photo. I wonder though, did you talk to those two girls at all? They look as if they know you are photographing them and actually look like they might be a little stiff, but that may just be me. :p

Beautiful photo. I hope you're enjoying your trip and your class. Now post more pictures. ;p

awesome angle and the inclusion of those clouds, can't imagine what position you were in to shot that.
though one thing that takes away from the picture are the ugly stained steps that seem to grab more attention than the beautiful architecture.

lovely composition, I like how the steps leading up to it makes the cathedral seem very majestic while the people on the steps kind of humanizes it too
