First in a series. Our assignment was to design stamps, so I decided to sketch an image for some of my favorite bands and then color/add text in Photoshop.
that would be such a sick stamp. How much of it was done in photoshop?
I like how the barely visible upward strokes in the background draw your attention along the looming figures, almost as if they're all looking/going up. Even with such simple shading, the position of the light is evident and the cracks just look awesome. The red stuff is a TINY bit strange (it doesnt exactly fit perspective / shading) but that's really not important. SO awesome a definite
i did the text in photoshop, and also tinted the inside of the eruptionthing red. everything else is pencil/pen. i do think it looks a little odd, but since the rest of the stamps have color i felt it would look even stranger if this stamp was the only B&W one. glad you liked the upward strokes, i tried to make them feel a little less solid.
Radiohead is awesome. I'd buy that stamp. ^^
I like the whole slightly grungy concept. The black and white was a nice touch, too. Looks much better than it would in color. I'm not sure if it has a purpose, but the middle line is slightly distracting. Other then that, I love it!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
