Our next assignment was to do two more variations on the first, but since I'd spent so much time on v1, I couldn't approach it with a clear head. So, I made v2 completely different, a crashing wave of photos of fire and my hair.

WHOAHHH. Now speaking of intricate and menacing...

I like how you evaded the self-portrait aspect of it by both going too close AND too far for detail. Interesting statement....

If I could put that to music, I'd say Come To Daddy by Aphex Twin fits it perfectly. Or Nannou, not sure which one.

Either way, this is a most excellent piece, and at least in my opinion, more intriquate and well-composed than the work of mine you commented on.

WOW, You know what I just thought of when I saw this?!? Have you ever seen the Never Ending Story? I really think this reminds me of the wolf running away from the nothing. The wolf in the pick would be the shape in the front of everything else (that would be the head) hehe. Well thanks for allowing me to use my imagination on this piece..hehe.

that is completely different from v1. i like this, you vertical with everything else horizonal (so it seems). so many changing opacities, so much grunge. colors almost deviantartlike.

the contrast of the black realm of hair and then you white to also mix with the white in which all the hair flows.
