On the 11th, after the photo shoot, I went out with our floor to a friend's house for a BBQ. Along the way there, we stopped at the BART station. Tired, worn from the long day, I rested on the bench.
And took some macro photos.
Without my glasses or my contacts, I'm pretty blind. I think my sight is just a few inches better than the range of the S30's macro, but not much.
I've made the thumbnail the sepia version, and the real file the color version. Hopefully those who view the sepia will also click the color one, and see the amazing contrasts. The colors were so vibrant on that bench, in the light, in the air. It's so... warm.
I think it's neat how everything past the glasses is out of foccus, because their glasses (sorry that came across as if I just recieved a laboroty...but I still like it. I want to call it irony, but I don't that that would be correct).
This is most definately print worthy.
The only thing that I didn't like about it was that of my left (the pictures right) the one side of the glasses is cut off.
Eye to eye we see.. you can see the warm colour that brings this to full live.
Great composition and I love the warm feeling. The dark patch in the top right corner works great with the rest of the lines within the photo. The lines are simply amazing. There seems to be a focal point somewhere to the right, yet there are other lines that don't agree with that, they are minor but strong.
There is so much in this photo, but it is hard to use words to decribe it.
thank you, i'm glad you enjoyed it
i do enjoy the color view for it's amazing warmth, and am quite happy with the sepia version as well. it retains some of the warm expectations and hopeful, reflective mood.
Very cool, especially for an S30 macro (I have yet to get a single macro I'm happy with). It sort of reminds me of a photo one of my friends took many years ago. Different concept, but still glasses.
I guess compared to something that has better magnification or a closer focal range, it's pretty limited. Shots I've tried and failed at inlcude most insect or flower macros. They end up just being close-ups instead.

def. love the sepia

The foreground is stunning.
