On the 11th, after the photo shoot, I went out with our floor to a friend's house for a BBQ. Along the way there, we stopped at the BART station. Tired, worn from the long day, I rested on the bench.
And took some macro photos.
Without my glasses or my contacts, I'm pretty blind. I think my sight is just a few inches better than the range of the S30's macro, but not much.
I've made the thumbnail the sepia version, and the real file the color version. Hopefully those who view the sepia will also click the color one, and see the amazing contrasts. The colors were so vibrant on that bench, in the light, in the air. It's so... warm.
Perfect DOF, very nice. I'm likeing the lines as well. Overall great composition, nice job. I really do like the sepia toneing but I'm gonna go check out the color.
Nice shot - the sepia gives it a warn nostagic feel. I agree with pc13 about the scratched wood, it looks great. I love the fact that through the glasses the background is a little more in focus.
