Artist's Comments

Ethernet cables, growing, branching, entangling like organic fibers tying our world together.

I learned how to make them in our Cisco Networking class in high school. For the California Voice magazine I wanted the table of contents to have this on the right, as we're covering the growth of technology and it's effects on the student-professor // student-material relationship. I got out my Ethernet cord, folded it in half, and ran to the lounge to take the photo. I didn't have a white backdrop, so I arranged the Mah Jongg tiles into a white backdrop and placed the cables on them.

They look like they're alive! Sorry I don't comment on your work as much as I should. Sometimes I just don't know how to put in words what I want to say.

I'm taking a Cisco networking class next year.

Mah Jong is my favorite game. I sadly can't afford the real version, and I have to settle for the CD-Rom.

I love this.

There are two essential basic strategies for success in photography:

1. Never reveal all you know.
